If you have received an invitation to apply for financial assistance, please call 1-800-RED-CROSS (800-733-2767) to speak to an agent about completing your enrollment.
This round of the Red Cross Immediate Financial Assistance program will be concluding on Feb 14, 2025. You must complete your financial assistance application by February 14, 2025, to receive this assistance.
The American Red Cross is committed to providing individuals affected by the devastating wildfires with:
- safe shelter
- access to food
- basic health services
- emotional support
- financial assistance to Californians who lived within the fire perimeters of Eaton, Palisades, Hurst, and Kenneth, as defined by Cal OES.
Receiving Red Cross financial assistance does not make you ineligible for FEMA assistance. To apply for federal Disaster Assistance at disasterassistance.gov or by calling 1-800-621-3362. FEMA approval is not required to be eligible for Red Cross financial assistance. Red Cross financial assistance is not a loan and does not need to be repaid.
All Red Cross services, including immediate financial assistance, are available to individuals regardless of nationality, race, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, class or political opinions.
The Red Cross is a charity, not a government agency, and people do not need to be American citizens to receive help.

APPLY NOW for LA Region Small Business Relief Fund/LA Region Worker Relief Fund!
LA County, LA City, Southern California Grantmakers, and partners have launched an LA Region Small Business and Worker Relief Fund for small businesses, nonprofits, and workers impacted by the 2025 wind and wildfire disaster. The program will provide grants up to $25,000 for eligible small businesses and nonprofits and $2,000 for workers.

Interested in Being Part of the Altadena Recovery Commission (ARC)?
What is the ARC’s mission?
The ARC aims to organize, resource, and support the long-term rebuild of the Altadena community in the wake of the devastating Eaton Fire.
What is the ARC’s role?
The ARC will ensure that recovery efforts are systematic, methodical, and community-driven. It will focus on restoring homes, infrastructure, businesses, commercial corridors, and natural habitats while prioritizing sustainability, resilience, and efficiency. The Commission will identify ways to modernize and restore Altadena’s infrastructure, create methods to prioritize community preferences, and develop scalable housing solutions that give all residents an option to rebuild.
Who is leading the Commission?
Supervisor Kathryn Barger created the ARC and will serve as its Chair.
Who are the members?
Members will represent diverse businesses, philanthropic and faith-based organizations, and local, state, and federal government partners with a deep commitment to Altadena. The Commission is by the community, for the community.

YMCA of Metro Los Angeles
- If your primary residence was destroyed or rendered uninhabitable: free memberships available with full access to all LA Y centers and programs for the remainder of 2025.
- Access also includes: a Well-Being Coordinator, free childcare, priority placement in youth programs, free day camp and one week of summer sleepaway camp, mental health services, distribution services, support networks, wraparound services, and referral support.
- If you were significantly impacted (loss of school, loss of job/income, experienced evacuation-related disruption, experiencing long-term trauma): subsidized memberships available to LA Y centers and programs.
- Access also includes: Case management access to coordinate resources and plan recovery, free mental heath services, free educational and homework support with distance learning for teens, infant and toddler childcare at the Burbank YMCA, Expanded Early Learning Readiness programing.
