This home was built in 1947 and was designed by noted architect Harold Bissner (who also designed the houses at 2067 Meadowbrook and 2017 Midwick a decade earlier).

As part of the Country Club Estates development, builder Raymond A. Dorn constructed this house at a cost of $15,000 for the owners of Gwinn's Restaurant. It is 3,186 square feet and sits on just over half an acre.

Former owners included a couple who were active long-time Altadena residents. His military service and her noteworthy cover-modeling career took them overseas during World War II. The home later became a group residence until a local mother-daughter realtor team bought and rejuvenated the then-neglected home.

The current owners moved to this house from Philadelphia in 1989 and have put their own love and work into transforming the house and property through multiple renovations and remodels. The owners raised their son and daughter here, celebrated their children’s marriages, and have transitioned into retirement, enjoying time with grandchildren and other pursuits.
